e-GIODO

Electronic Platform for Communication with the Inspector General for the Protection of Personal Data (GIODO).

In order to perform obligations under the Act of 17 February 2005 on Computerisation of Activities of Entities Performing Public Tasks (Dz. U. [Journal of Laws] No. 64, item 565, as amended), an information system called the "Electronic Platform for Communication with the Inspector General for the Protection of Personal Data" (e-GIODO) has been implemented in the Office of the Inspector General for the Protection of Personal Data.

The implementation of the e-GIODO system allows, among other things, submitting sets of personal data for registration and their updating via the Internet. An electronic form can be filled out with the use of a program installed at www.giodo.gov.pl. After completing the form, the applicant may send it electronically, if he/she has a qualified electronic signature. In order to send applications to e-GIODO, one may use trust services offered by KIR.

For this purpose it is necessary to obtain:

An electronic signature created under an application to e-GIODO with the use of this set has the legal effect of a qualified electronic signature equivalent to a handwritten signature.
To obtain a set for creating qualified signatures with the signing application, an agreement for the provision of trust services must be concluded with KIR.
